Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it! And happy holidays to those who don’t.
If you’re one of those people who likes to take the entire day off to spend time with your family, laze around, and eat lots of good food, good for you. Enjoy it, you deserve it.
However, if you’re like me and just plain get a bit bored alternating between eating, opening presents, and laying on the couch all day long, here’s a fun Christmas Day workout you can do to get out some energy. Better yet, grab your whole family and do it together 🙂
If you only have one kettlebell, you can always just rotate who’s using the kettlebell, or grab something else as a substitute (dumbbells work well, so does a sandbag) instead.
Here’s your Christmas Day workout:
Workout equipment:
Workout type: Challenge
Timer setting: Stopwatch
Repeat 4 times:
15 Kettlebell swings
10 Push ups
5 One arm kettlebell swings / side
10 Kettlebell front squats
15 Sit ups
Bonus: 5 Turkish get ups / side

Happy holidays!

Krista– your workouts are a great Christmas gift! I have been going to sleep all giddy, knowing I can wake up and have a workout spelled out for me that I can do in the guest room before I come out to face cookies, and butter and holidays. 🙂
Merry Christmas!
So glad to hear that Cass 🙂 Merry Christmas!
9:03!
Perfect timing since I got a new kettlebell for Christmas! Thanks for all the great workouts.
I did it in 8m14 with a 12kg kettlebell. Really nice quick workout. No turkish get-up though!
14:10 w/ 35 lb. KB on the swings and a 20 lb. KB on the turkish getups. Those are tough buggers! You make it look so easy.
10:07….starting off the New Year right!!!
10:52 w/o the get-ups (doing those next but don’t like doing them for time). Only have a 15lb. KB at home so the swings were easy. Heartrate is up nonetheless!
Oops, add 30-45 seconds, I forgot about the last set of sit ups!
