Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope you’re spending the day surrounded by good food, loved ones, and lots and lots of gratitude.
I’m doing something a little different than normal this Thanksgiving—instead of flying north to my rainy hometown, my husband and I decided to seek out sunshine and spend the holiday in Mexico—hence the photo above.
So, as much as I miss my family today, I’m also grateful for sunshine, guacamole, and cold buckets of beer.
But however you’re spending your Thanksgiving, make sure and take the time to work out before all the fun starts today. Not only will a tough workout help negate some of the calories you’ll no doubt be eating later in the day, it’ll also help rev up your metabolism early so you’ll burn more throughout the day—even if you’re just sitting around watching football all day long.
Be thankful you can work out, and go work up a good sweat. Then go enjoy yourself—you deserve it.
Here’s your pre-feast Thanksgiving workout:
Workout equipment:
Workout type: Challenge
Timer setting: Stopwatch
Repeat 10x:
(Yep! That’s 100 burpees… you can do it!)

Did you do this workout? Tweet It!
Kept kicking the sofa, but finished in 11:21.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Darnit, I just did 100 burpees a few days ago, and I really don’t feel like doing 100 burpees again! Guess I will do the Fast & Furious one instead..
Haha! Fair enough 🙂
9:58, another fun one that you can do at any time of the day anywhere you’d like
Ran a 4mile turkey trot this morning….maybe that counts?
It certainly does 🙂
11:35 Killer workout!
I did it in 12 minutes but I was amazed that I did it at all so there! It wasn’t as hard as I thought and I think next time I can get my time down.
Yeah Jeanne! I’m proud of you 🙂 I agree, the idea of 100 burpees can be really intimidating, but it’s actually not that bad when you suck it up and do it. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
14:43, a few days late…. 🙂
Thanks for the motivation!
