6 Ingredient Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Bars

This homemade protein bar recipe is so easy to make, it’s nearly impossible to screw it up.

Plus, since you probably already have all of the ingredients on hand, you can whip it up and have delicious, healthy protein bars around in no time!

Here’s the 6 Ingredient Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Bar recipe:


1 cup old fashioned oats
2/3 cup vanilla (or peanut butter!) whey protein powder
1/4 cup almond milk (or milk of your choice)
1/4 cup unsweetened peanut butter (I used crunchy)
2 Tbsp dark chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Prep time: 15 minutes


Mix everything but the chocolate chips together in a medium sized bowl. User your muscles to make sure everything is mixed together really well! If the mixture feels a bit too dry (different protein powders soak up more liquid than others), just add a tiny bit more almond milk.

Once you’ve got the main ingredients mixed together, add the chocolate chips so they’re spread evenly throughout the dough. Line a 4×8 inch pan with parchment paper, spray with a little coconut oil, then spread the dough so that it’s pressed down evenly into the pan. Use your hands or a spatula to make sure the top is flat (remember, the end goal here is to make bars out of this). Then, place the mixture in the fridge for 1-2 hours or until chilled.

Once the bars are chilled, cut them into five pieces, wrap each individually in foil or plastic wrap, and viola! You’ve got super healthy, well balanced homemade protein bar you can take with you on the go.

Store any remaining bars in the fridge or freezer.
