Happiness-Inducing Banana Chocolate Chip Protein Pancakes

In case you couldn’t tell, I’m seriously in love with protein pancakes.

I really just don’t know how I lived so many years without them! I’d choose them over regular pancakes any day.

These banana protein pancakes taste like a treat, but with ingredients like protein powder, oats, bananas, and cottage cheese, they’re actually really healthy—and a little chocolate never hurt anybody. Plus, they won’t leave you feeling hungry a half an hour after you eat like normal pancakes do.

I love them for breakfast, as a post-workout meal, or really even as a high protein snack any time of the day!

Give them a try and get ready to feel a burst of happiness:

Ingredients

1 scoop vanilla protein powder (1/3 cup)
1/4 cup oats
1 small ripe banana
1 egg white (or one whole egg)
3 Tbsp cottage cheese (Greek yogurt would work too)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp baking powder
2 tsp mini chocolate chips (optional, but delicious)

Total cooking time: 15 minutes

Directions

Blend everything together except for the chocolate chips. Heat a nonstick pan to medium high, then pour on your desired pancake shapes (small ones tend to be easier to flip). Sprinkle the chocolate chips on each pancake, then flip them once little bubbles start forming on top and they’re golden underneath. Top with whatever you like and eat up!
