Chocolate Drizzled Crunchy Peanut Butter Protein Bars

There’s pretty much nothing that goes together better than peanut butter and chocolate.

It’s really just a magical combination, and one that should be eaten at any opportunity.

And the good news is that these chocolate drizzled crunchy peanut butter protein bars include exactly that: peanut butter and chocolate!

They’re super easy to make, and don’t have any weird ingredients in them like most bars you can buy at the store. As a bonus, they taste like dessert, so they’re great for satisfying your sweet tooth any time of the day.

Here’s your Chocolate Drizzled Crunchy Peanut Butter Protein Bars recipe:

Ingredients

3/4 cup millet puffs or puffed rice cereal
1/2 cup old fashioned oats
1/4 cup vanilla or cinnamon whey protein powder
1/4 cup peanut butter
3 Tbsp unsweetened almond milk
2 Tbsp peanuts, chopped
1 Tbsp honey
Pinch of sea salt
3 squares dark chocolate

Directions

Stir together the rice or millet puffs, oats, and protein powder. Add in the almond butter, honey, and almond milk, then stir in about 2/3 of the peanuts and mix thoroughly.

Spray a sheet of wax paper with coconut oil and press the dough on the wax paper so you have a fairly even rectangle shape. Stick dough in the fridge for 10-15 minutes. You can also put it in the freezer if you’re in a hurry.

Once the dough is slightly chilled, remove from the fridge and cut the rectangle into four evenly shaped bars.

Melt your chocolate, then drizzle equally over each bar. Immediately sprinkle on the remaining peanuts and sea salt and use your fingers to press any loose pieces onto the bars.

Place in the fridge and chill for at least an hour. Eat up!
