Fourth of July Challenge Workout

Happy Fourth of July!

I wish all my fellow athletes the very best on this very America holiday.

But before you break out the barbecue, apple pie and fireworks, take a few minutes and make sure to get your workout in. You’ll feel more energized, fit and happier the rest of the day—plus, it’ll help you burn off a few of those extra calories you’re bound to eat later (and make you feel a little less guilty afterwards).

I’d recommend doing this workout early so you can rev up your metabolism early in the day. After all, HIIT workouts actually make your metabolism burn faster for the next 24 to 48 hours.

Pretty awesome, right?

Regardless of when you decide to do it though, make sure to work as hard as you possibly can. You’ll want to be good and sweaty after this workout!

Ok, enough talk. Here’s your Fourth of July workout:

Workout equipment:

Workout type: Challenge

Timer setting: Stopwatch

Repeat 4x:

20 Box jumps
20 Elevated push ups
20 Air squats
20 Plank jumps
20 Sit ups

——————————————————

Leave your time in the comments below.

Tip: if you don’t have access to an actual plyo box to jump on, just find some stairs or a high enough surface, and jump away (just make sure it’s sturdy!).

And happy Fourth of July!
