How to Kick Ass at Life

Wake up. This is your life. You’ve only got one shot at it.

If you fail, there’s no turning back.

This is it.

So I want you to ask yourself right now: are you living the life you want to live?

Are you kicking ass like you know you should be?

If your answer is no, don’t worry. It’s never too late to start living life optimally.

Because no matter whether you’re 18, 32 or 85, you can start living life the best you can right now.

Here’s how to start immediately:

Fuel your body

You wouldn’t expect a fancy car to run smoothly on cola-infused gasoline, and you shouldn’t expect your body to live up to its potential if you’re feeding it sugary drinks, fast food and junk 24/7.

If you want your body and mind to start functioning at its best, you need to give it the proper ingredients. This means eating real food as much as possible—including loads of veggies, fruits, protein, and healthy fats.

It may feel foreign to you at first if you’re not used to eating this way, but once you’ve done it for a while, your body will start to actually crave these healthier foods. And better yet, you’ll start to notice how much better and more energized you feel when you start fueling yourself up right.

Be as strong as you can be

No one should go through life feeling like a wimp.

Wimpiness isn’t sexy. It’s not really very cool. And it certainly doesn’t portray confidence.

That’s why you have to push yourself to be as strong as possible. Physical strength will give you independence. Courage. Bravery. You’ll be a true badass, and badasses rock.

Getting strong will make you feel like you can conquer the world.

And as a bonus, it’ll keep you fit and healthy into old age so you can have a long, fulfilling life.

Nourish your mind

As important as it is to nourish our bodies, it’s just as crucial to feed our minds.

This means that no matter how old you are, you should aim to never stop learning.

Read everything you can get your hands on. Take classes. Talk to people who make you think differently. Try a new sport.

No matter what, keep challenging yourself and constantly pushing the boundaries of your mind.

Be a kid at heart

Most people are scared of growing old. But growing old is a mindset. Because you never have to act old if you stay a kid at heart.

You just have to do things that keep you feeling young.

So go on adventures. Play on the monkey bars. Stay up late. Make a blanket fort. Read Harry Potter again. Have a water balloon fight.

The key here is to not take life too seriously. Don’t let yourself get caught up in the bullshit of adulthood. Play. Have fun. Be a goofball. Use your imagination.

Find things that make you smile

In your heart, you know it’s true: you’ll never really, truly kick ass at life if you don’t let yourself be happy.

To really get the most out of life, you have to smile and laugh as much as possible. Because what’s the point of going through life as a grump?

So seek out things that make you smile, no matter how small or silly you think they may be. Chase the sunshine. Flya kite on a beach. Raft down a river. Make s’mores. Do whatever makes you happy.

And if you don’t know what makes you smile yet, that’s ok too. Keep searching, and you’ll find it eventually.

Kick ass at everything you do

Don’t choose to half ass life. It’s not worth it.

Give life your all now, or prepare to regret it later.

So go do something awesome. Jump. Read. Learn. Play. Smile.

Go kick some ass.

  1. AWEsome… especially the part about not living a half-ass life. That one stares me right in the chops every time I miss an opportunity I know I shouldn’t have… inside the gym or out.

Thanks for the post. Looking forward to the HIIT On The Go book.

    Keep Pushing,

    Kurt
