100 burpees in 6:58 minutes. can I use burpees instead of swimming to increase performance in a marathon? I cannot swim quite good at all.
Luis, burpees can be part of your routine but for marathon, you definitely do need long endurance training as well.
Thank you. What else could l do? I think an athlete can have better performance if He gets strong first, but I also think that putting all together hitt and endurance trainning but not so many miles He can get a great performance with lesser risk of suffering injuries.
I agree, it’s useful to support your marathon training with other workouts, not just run all the time (I’ve made this mistake in the past). But you still need to be sure that your body is ready for 42K, and for that, you need longer runs too.
Thank You very much, I shall take Your advice, by the way I did 100 burpees in 6:52 min, a little bit faster than the last time.
