Strong for Summer 5 Day Workout Challenge

Memorial Day is just around the corner, which means one thing: summer is almost here.

So I thought it would be really fun to start getting ready for summer with a 5 day workout challenge with daily videos, prizes, and more!

The reason I wanted to do this specific challenge is that while we all want to look good on the beach, it’s so much more important to both look and feel good—and pushing your personal limits and getting stronger is the best way to do that.

It’s going to be AWESOME!

Watch this short video to learn how to take part in the Strong for Summer 5 Day Workout Challenge, or read the rules below:

How to take part in the #summerstrong challenge

Here’s everything you need to know to take part in the challenge:

The Strong for Summer 5 Day Workout Challenge officially starts next Monday, May 18th.

strong for summer 5 day summer challengeEach day, we’ll be focusing on one particular exercise to get you fitter and stronger, then do a HIIT workout for that day that incorporates that exercise. I’ll also tell you about any beginner or advanced variations of the exercise that you need to know about.

Every day that you take part in the challenge you have a chance to win 5 awesome #noexcuses wristbands. To enter the daily raffle, here’s what you’ll need to do:

  • Take a photo or video of yourself during or after that day’s workout.
  • Follow @12minuteathlete then tag the hashtag #summerstrong on Twitter or Instagram.
  • I’ll pick my favorite for that day so get creative!

It gets better: each day that you do one of the workouts and use the #summerstrong hashtag, you’ll also be entered in a raffle for the entire week to win one month’s coaching (worth $375!), a 12 Minute Athlete t-shirt or tank top, and a pack of 20 #noexcuses wristbands for you and your friends.

So the more workouts you do, the more likely you are to win.

  1. It would be great to start on Monday morning. I can only realistically workout at something like 5 in the morning, so if you’re posting at 7am, I wouldn’t be able to start until the next day! Perhaps you’d be able to post something in the late evening before so other early birds like myself can take part right away?

I like the idea of these little challenges.

    • Ok, I think you’re right Jason – we’ll change it to 5am PST. For everyone in a different time zone, I’ll definitely keep that in mind next time (sorry!) but for this one you’re going to have to deal with it going out the morning of 🙂

  4. Hi, what happened to the workouts for days 3 and 4? I, 2, and 5 are all found, but I thought it would be good to repeat this 5-day sequence the first week of every month.
