January 100 Burpee Challenge Rules

Step #1: Do the 100 burpee challenge. You have by the end of the weekend (January 3rd) to complete the challenge.

Step #2: Immediately after you do the challenge, snap a photo or video of yourself post-challenge. Post it to either Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook along with your current time AND the amount you’ve improved from last month (make sure to tag #12minuteathlete). You can also email your photo to me at [email protected] (use the subject ‘100 burpee challenge photo’ so I can actually find your photos).

Step #3: I’ll look over all the photos and times and send you a 12 Minute Athlete t-shirt or tank!

  1. Hi there! I didn’t make it for the first two weeks of January, but I just did my first 100 Burpee Challenge of 2016! My time was 8:31, which is three seconds faster than last month 🙂 When I first learned how to do burpees (not long before I found 12 Minute Athlete), they were a little different than the way you do them. When I drop down to the push-up position, instead of dropping my chest to the ground, I go into a downward-dog type position and then spring back up and throw my arms back instead of overhead. Is this a beginners version or does it accomplish the same thing as the way you do them? Thanks!
