We’re excited to let you know about a new feature for the 12 Minute Athlete HIIT Workouts app released today: additional workout packs!

Although the app already includes nearly 200 workouts when you first download it, many of you have been asking for more, varied workouts based on your specific fitness or health goals. Which is why we’re pretty excited to be able to offer these workout packs for as little as $0.99 each.

We’ll constantly be adding more in the future, but here are some of the current workout pack options:

  • Beginner HIIT Workouts
  • Boxing HIIT Workouts
  • Calisthenics Workouts
  • Upper Body Strength Workouts
  • Lower Body Workouts

And tons more.

Each workout pack comes with at least 15 super efficient, ass-kicking workouts.

Some Things You Might Not Know About the 12MA App

As usual, during our annual reflections post this past year, we closed the year with a short survey giving you guys the chance to give us questions or feedback about the site, app, and the future of 12 Minute Athlete.

What we realized after looking through the responses is that although we do tutorial posts on cool features every now and then, we haven’t addressed specific questions about the 12 Minute Athlete HIIT Workouts App in quite a while.

So we thought it would be helpful for you guys if we put together responses for some of the most common questions we get about the app. We hope you find them useful!

Note: Keep in mind that most of the answers below apply to iPhone only. We are still working on bringing our Android app up to speed—if you know any awesome Android developers, please send them our way!

Pretty much every time we add a new feature to the 12MA app, it’s something I’ve personally wanted.

Because I use the app for my own workouts on a daily basis, and I’m always thinking of new things that would make it better for your training—as well as mine.

That’s why in the most recent update to the iPhone app we added a cool little feature that you might not have discovered yet: the ability to manually add days to your workout calendar.

This means you can keep track of any workout you don’t do in the 12MA app—like a gymnastics class, yoga, rock climbing, a tough bike ride—you get the idea.

So you’ll always be able to see exactly how often you’ve worked out and when you’re due for a rest day!

Here’s how to do it:

If you work out pretty often (and I hope you do!), you no doubt do a lot of burpees.

And wouldn’t it be cool to see how many burpees you’ve ever done?

Well, unfortunately I can’t help you figure out your burpee totals from past years, but if you’re already a Super Athlete (or sign up today), you can start tracking your burpees and every other exercise you do on a regular basis so you know just how many you’re doing. Then you can start bragging that you’ve done thousands of burpees—and have the numbers to prove it!

Here’s how you can figure out how many burpees (and every other exercise) you’ve ever done:

Note: This feature is currently only available for iPhone Super Athlete subscribers. Android is still in beta mode but the full version will be released soon!

One of the coolest new features of the 12 Minute Athlete app is the ability to track your reps and workout Personal Records (PRs).

Since not everyone is aware of this additional feature, I wanted to take a quick look at how to track your PRs for both Challenge and AMRAP workouts. (If you want to learn how to keep track of your reps in the interval workouts, check out this article.)

Note: Rep tracking is currently only available to iPhone Super Athlete subscribers. You can learn more about becoming a Super Athlete and all the cool features you’ll get with the membership here.
